Unbridled consumption of alcohol is rampant in our society and unless alcohol treatment is provided to the alcoholic immediately and effectively, social and personal problems including crimes, unhappy family life and destruction of professional careers will be difficult to control.

Problems Created by Alcoholism

Besides creating many problems for the family and the society at large, an alcoholic loses his health, dignity and strength. His financial condition deteriorates rapidly and even his self confidence and self esteem take a beating. Social crimes such as car accidents while driving under the influence, murders, robberies and rapes are all linked to excessive use of alcohol.

Moreover, family life gets shattered with the possibility of divorce, domestic violence, break ups and gradual erosion of healthy relationships. Unless alcohol treatment is done at an early stage, an alcoholic is prone to developing many diseases due to excessive use of alcohol. These diseases include liver failure, cancer, skeletal disorders, HIV and AIDS. In addition to the many physical problems, an alcoholic also loses out on the emotional front by becoming less responsible, moody, slow to respond to any stimulus and also becoming less social.

Need for Alcohol Treatment

Alcohol dependence can create a lot of social, family and individual problems and if it is not controlled, it can lead to complete disaster. As such, alcohol treatment has to be done in order to rehabilitate the alcohol dependent person. The uncontrollable craving for alcohol is not easy to control because the person derives pleasure by consuming alcohol and simply lacks the will power to get over the craving, which is created by the alcohol depositing specific chemicals in the body.

Detoxification

Addiction to alcohol is created by these chemicals, so alcohol treatment and rehabilitation is simply the process of cleansing these chemicals and toxins from the body. This process is also known as detoxification or detox in brief. In order to achieve the objective of eliminating the dependence on alcohol, some medication is given to the patient but care is taken not to cause another addiction. Moreover, the patient is given proper diet to build up his immune functions, which had been impaired by the excessive use of alcohol causing loss of appetite and malnutrition. The detoxification process consists of withdrawing the patient from alcohol, which is the source of the toxins. This is a gradual process until such time as the patient is physically and psychologically able to control his craving for alcohol. Some negative symptoms such as nausea and vomiting, anxiety and headaches might occur during the withdrawal period. The discomfort of these symptoms is controlled by the administration of some medicines. Some psychological counseling is also done during alcohol treatment.

Rehab Centers

The best place for alcohol treatment is a rehab center where experienced professionals are able to achieve detoxification and can rid the patient of his craving for alcohol in a phased and gradual manner. However, it is necessary to find the best rehab center, which will provide maximum security and the best treatment. It should also be located in a quiet environment. In order to find such a center, it is necessary to browse the websites for different online portals that provide this information. When you select a website, all you would need to do is to click the state where you live on the left side of the webpage and you will get a complete list of rehab centers in that area along with all details. You can then choose a rehab center for alcohol treatment.

A rehab center is the best place to get detoxification and alcohol treatment. Choose the most convenient and effective rehab center by logging on to a website that provides details of all rehab centers in your state and in your vicinity.

Clinking bottles go around the table as the celebration continues into the night. You probably didn’t get to hang out with your friends in a while and decided to grab some drinks together. However, the night comes to an end and when grabbing your jacket, your car keys fall out. This is a friendly reminder that you now have to drive home after four hours of beer and shots. What should you do?

For some people, this is not hardly a problem and don’t think twice about jumping into their car and motoring home. Those are the same people that complain the most when he or she is cited for their excessive blood alcohol level upon being stopped for a traffic violation. Drinking and driving is an act that plays out every day of the year. While some people may go their whole life driving intoxicated, others may experience a different picture.

Alcohol and Driving Laws
The country of Canada has mimicked its current drinking and driving laws similarly to other countries. It is one country in a long line that has an established acceptable blood alcohol level of .05% when operating a motor vehicle. Considered to be exceptionally small by some, exceeding the .05% level can cause severe consequences if stopped by Canadian police. This means that although those keys may be whispering softly in your ear, “It’s okay, it’s only a short drive,” you are better suited to call a cab and eat the fare.

How much is 0.05%
This percentage of blood alcohol level is not much. In fact, two beers within one hour will put you over the limit. The body can process approximately one 12 ounce beer per hour. This statistic is based on a 160 pound person. One beer of approximately 5% alcohol by volume will create a 0.02% blood alcohol level. Theoretically, a 160 pound person can drink all night if he or she only consumed one beer per hour. However, the throes of festivity can sometimes bring the addition of more alcohol. Two shots of bourbon and an Irish Car Bomb does not equate to a blood alcohol level of .02% just because there is only one beer involved. One must remember to count shots as well. Shots are essentially the same as beer.

Penalties
The country of Canada has decided to evoke a number of penalties for those who can’t keep the keys out of the ignition. It has been estimated that just one’s first offense can create fines up to $20K. One may think this is an exaggeration until he or she calculates all that is affected.

For instance, there will be fines payable for the Canadian govt, the cost of setting up a Breathalyzer in the automobile, the expense of the Breathalyzer itself, alcohol sessions that will be necessary to reinstate one’s license, insurance penalties, and a license reinstatement fee in general. Taking into account all of this, that $20 you thought you would save by driving home could potentially cost you $20K. Call a taxi; it’s your best option.

With a drunk driving record, it can be very hard for you to get car insurance in Ontario. On Kanetix you can find Ontario auto insurance quotes from multiple companies.

Alcohol consumption is a much studied, and sometimes controversial, subject. Most modern doctors and nutritionists agree that a small amount of alcohol can actually be beneficial to the body. It will do little harm that way. However, for a heavy drinker or alcoholic, there can be a variety of serious health problems caused by alcohol consumption.

The human body is only able to metabolize a small amount of alcohol at a single time. When a person drinks more than this amount of alcohol (approximately one ounce per hour), the alcohol will be absorbed into body and affect nearly every internal organ until it is slowly metabolized.

The liver is one of the most vulnerable internal organs. It is not easy for the liver to metabolize alcohol, and it actually causes some very dangerous side effects. The liver breaks down the alcohol by removing hydrogen. This means that excess hydrogen will be left in the liver. This can cause liver damage.

In addition, while the liver is breaking down the alcohol, certain important enzymes and nutrients become unavailable to the rest of the body. This causes the liver to become saturated with these enzymes and pockets of fat develop. These cause liver disease which may cripple a person for life.

Heavy alcohol consumption also increases the chances for heart attack and stroke due to the rise in blood pressure. Alcohol, when consumed by pregnant women, can cause fetal alcohol syndrome. Excessive drinking may even increase the size of the kidneys, running the risk of kidney failure.

It can affect the way a body metabolizes sugars as well. It can cause hypoglycemia or hyperglycemia, which both run their own very dangerous health risks including coma and death. It can also contribute to obesity in some people.

Alcohol also affects the brain, both physically and psychologically. Physically, it can cause a rise in acidity in the body that can contribute to the loss of memory and some neurological functions. It can even cause irreversible brain damage. This can lead to permanent tremors or a stroke.

Psychologically, alcohol is a depressant and can cause serious depression and anxiety. The results of these conditions can be malnutrition and, again, obesity. People who are heavy drinkers who experience these problems often begin to drink more which can lead to even more health problems.

While drinking in moderation can be beneficial, drinking heavily will have the exact opposite effect and can amplify medical problems that may have been of little consequence before.

Alcohol abuse addiction is not something that anybody planned for. Lots of addicts just find themselves in the difficulty and all efforts to be released from it have been futile. We shall examine the causes of alcohol abuse addiction and also the solutions to it in this piece.

The effects of alcohol abuse addiction on the family, the kids, human brain and funds to state one or two have been very appalling. This is why it is vital to contend with the crisis at the early period than wait for it to turn into a monster that you can no longer manage. Lots of addicts never thought that they can turn out to be addicted to alcohol or booze. They believe that they can often be in command of their cravings. Sorry to say, the reality is simply the opposite of their opinion.

One of the basis of alcohol abuse addiction is peer pressure. Peer pressure is not confined to the teens consuming alcohol. A number of grownups also surrender to peer pressure. They would like to be accepted and thus start to drink. An additional cause of alcohol abuse addiction is failure to take on the problems of life positively and constructively. A lot of folks always go into drinking alcohol as a means of dodging the hitches of life. But they are mistaken. The crisis remains even with having a lot of alcohol. You have to enroll in self improvement program that can be of assistance to you to be knowledgeable about how to deal with these crisis and not resort to drinking alcohol.

You should quickly seek advice from your physician if you notice that you are no longer in control of your alcohol intake. If you can’t seem to accomplish objectives without gulping or having one or two bottles of alcohol, then it is time to consult your medical doctor who is in the best position to help you. Never try things on your own. You may not be able to do it successfully. Let your medical doctor determine the best thing you have to do to be liberated from alcohol abuse addiction.

You should maintain positive way of life if you ever want to permanently be released from alcohol abuse addiction. It is essential to avoid all associates that are alcoholic. Avoid them by all means. They will do you no good. Additionally, shun every alcoholic drinks and become a member of a social or religious groups in your locality. These groups will help fill your brain with positive issues and activities that will take away your brain and attention from alcohol. A positive outlook of life and lifestyle is all you require to be free from alcohol abuse addiction.

Is your fix on alcohol beginning to take hold of your life? Most of the time, when alcoholism gets overwhelmingly difficult to control, the alcoholic would find that turning his life around would take more than just admitting that he needs help. Changing does not happen overnight which is why quitting will need a lot of motivation and patience.

If you think you have a drinking problem and are serious about getting rid of it, here are a few guidelines that can help.

First, the first step to quitting your bad habit would be to admit the fact that you have a bad habit in the first place. Denial is a very common stage that an alcoholic needs to overcome. Most alcoholics would not admit that they have a drinking problem or would say things like, “I’m sure I can quit whenever I want to because I don’t have a problem”. Oftentimes, this statement becomes habitual until the alcoholic could no longer realise the fact that he has fallen into addiction. If you are beginning to think that your drinking is now taking hold of you, you have to seek help.

Seeking help is the next stage of intervention. After denial, most addicts would consider this as a form of weakness simply because of the notion that you can no longer control your addiction to alcohol. What most addicts need to understand is, seeking help is not a form of weakness. Even the strongest person has to fall sometime. If losing pride is the only thing that keeps you from seeking help, you are definitely NOT helping yourself.

Solving your alcohol problems will take more than just having yourself to rely on. Aside from that, you are not the only one affected by drinking. It is most likely that you’re significant others might be affected as well. Because of this, it is important to know that you are not the only one who needs counselling. Your family will need counselling as well to help them cope with the crisis.

During the intervention, it will be important that you will seek medical help despite of the notion that you can quit on our own. Alcohol withdrawal is a common problem an alcoholic faces especially if he is abruptly weaned off from this substance. Withdrawal symptoms can have various complications such as physiological and psychological crisis.

Emotional support is very crucial at this point which is why it is encouraged that an alcoholic should seek guidance from family, friends and loved ones along with other support groups such as alcoholics anonymous. By doing so, you are one step closer to being alcohol free.

We provide alcohol treatment and other services for you or a loved one to help you fight these addictive tendencies.

#10 Do You Really Know how Much is Too Much?

When you stop and think about it, most people are under the impression if you only drink one beer per hour and wait an hour before you decide to drive, you will be alright; however this statement is misleading. Many factors affect how inebriated a person can get. Age, weight and how much a person drinks, are key influences to how drunk a person gets. This simply means that a just because your older brother can drink 5 beers in one hour and not be drunk, doesn’t mean you can do the same thing and have the same results. Each person is different and reacts differently to alcohol. This is why it is important not to take chances.

#9 Drinking Less than Legal Limit Still has Negative Side Affects

All states in the U.S. have adopted 0.08% as being the legal limit for being intoxicated; however, people can still be impaired when operating a vehicle even if their blood alcohol level is below this percentage. This is why it is of utmost importance for you to check your blood alcohol level with a breathalyzer before getting behind the wheel.

#8 Afternoons in Traffic School

What about having Saturday afternoons free, doing whatever your little heart desires? Well, have I got some bad news for you. If you receive, a fine for drunk driving you will have to spend most of your Saturday’s attending drunk driver’s classes, so you can kiss your worry free Saturday’s goodbye.

#7 Goes on Your Record

When you were younger; did you ever dream of having a record? Well, if you are like most people, they dream of becoming a firefighter or police officer; however, if you are caught for drunk driving, it will stay on your record for 10 years. Having this on your record can also turn off many potential employers.

#6 Jail Time

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to spend the night sobering up in jail? How does that sound for following your dreams and aspirations? Most people who are pulled over and caught for driving under the influence have to spend time in jail and have to be bailed out by a friend or family member.

#5 Keep Yourself From Making Hasty Decisions

If you find yourself in this predicament often, how else will you know whether you are sober enough to get behind the wheel? That is, unless you have “spidey sense”, and believe me, you probably don’t. In order to know for sure, an alcohol breathalyzer can help you determine, if you are completely sober and coherent. Numbers don’t lie, and when you take the breathalyzer test, you will know for sure.

#4 A Breathalyzer Provides Peace of Mind

The last thing you should have to worry about when you are out for a special dinner or get together is whether you are sober enough to drive home safely. Think about it. How many times have you allowed yourself to get behind the wheel, without verifying that you are completely sober? What would have happened if you had been pulled over by a police officer? The consequences could be devastating. Even if you have only had a few drinks, it is always better to know for sure if you are putting yourself at risk for driving under the influence.

#3 A Breathalyzer is a Wise Investment

Did you know, on average the cost for a DUI fine is around $480; however, this isn’t all you will end up having to pay. There are a variety of other fines and fees you will have to pay for. In essence, your $480 fine ends up costing around $5,200. You have to think to yourself, “Is it really worth it?” Better yet, can you afford this? This is another reason why you should invest in an alcohol breathalyzer. Most breathalyzers cost approximately one fourteenth of this amount.

#2 Prevents You from Endangering Your Own Life

Is your life important? Do you enjoy being able to see your family and loved ones? If so, then this is even more reason why you should invest in an alcohol monitor. There are many people who are too quick to think they know when they are sober enough to drive; however, this is when most people fail to realize they are still buzzed. Remember, driving while you are slightly buzzed is still considered to be drunk driving and you are increasing your chances of having a fatal car accident every time you do this.

#1 Prevents You from Endangering the Lives of Others

Would you drive while trying to change clothes? I hope that you answered no to this question. The reason I say this, is if you won’t drive while changing clothes, then what makes you think you can drive while being intoxicated? Did you know that every 45 minutes a drunk driver kills a person? Is it really worth endangering the lives of innocent people, when the consequences can last a lifetime?

It’s a story repeated in emergency departments (ED) all over the country. A person is taken to the hospital for alcohol detox and they may or may not want any medical intervention. Treatment might be available for their disease, but they refuse.

A young man was brought into the emergency room with a blood alcohol level of .423, and according to his boyfriend he had been drinking vodka for two days and had not eaten. He didn’t want treatment and was abusive to the medical team. He was a quite nice guy, didn’t look like the type of person who could explode at any moment and launch into an expletive-laden tirade. But the staff soon found out that he was completely out of control, cursing the nurses and when the doctor entered the room for the first time, he spit on him. The police were called.

The ED staff did their best to stabilize the situation and a plan was initiated to get his into detox and then transferred to a local alcoholism treatment facility. His wife was appreciative and tried her best to cooperate with the staff and encourage her husband to comply with the treatment, but it was not to be. His disease had progressed to the point where nothing mattered to his but the alcohol. As he put it when asked if he wanted to quit drinking, “No, I love this stuff. It’s the only thing that’s legal.” His alcoholism had taken over total control of his life. Perhaps there was some remnant of his old self still intact, but he was hard to love.

Medical people are trained to be professionals, and most medical people are compassionate, caring individuals who genuinely want to heal, which is why they got into the medical profession to begin with. The patient had been transferred to one of the other units in the hospital and soon became a case study in the “patient from hell” category.

This particular patient was so disgusting that the nurses were trying hard just to get through a shift. he was verbally abusive, manipulative and divisive. One staffer would go into the room and see the man begging for pain relief. His act was very convincing and people would get taken in, because their compassion overruled their logic. The next would get a nasty, vulgar animal, who pulled out IV lines, threw things of his tray and screamed at the top of his lungs, disturbing every patient on the unit. Nurses shared that they needed support from each other just to deal with the man for a few minutes. One nurse said that the patient would use the “F” word as a verb, noun and adverb in the same sentence.

After a few days, the patient decided to discharge himself to attend a party. Two days later he showed up in the ED again, needing detox with a blood alcohol level practically off the charts.

The whole routine started again.

They stabilized him and moved him to another unit. The nurses were trying to care for him, and that care included taking preventative measures to keep his safe. One nurse talked about how he “catapulted” himself out of bed and was quickly found on the floor, on all fours, trying to get his balance.

He was screaming for pain medication and wanted to the doctor to “put him out” so he could sleep until morning. When the doctor tried to explain to his that he wasn’t going to acquiesce, he went off. It must have been tempting to improperly medicate his just to shut his up, but the doctor followed the protocol and accepted medical practice.

Hospital staffs take falls very seriously. Sometimes extreme measures are implemented to prevent falls, such as arm and leg restraints, but in his case there was a “sitter” in the room with him, watching the whole time and even he could not prevent his action.

Fortunately, the patient was not injured, but the unit’s long record of fall prevention ended. The nurse was understandably upset and blamed herself, but the fact is the patient, in his diseased state, did it to himself. The sitter tried to prevent it, but he wasn’t quick enough to prevent the incident. It happened that quickly.

The staff worked with the patient’s wife again and plans were again made to transfer his to the treatment facility, but he refused. In his case, because of the alcoholism, he was not really capable of making a rational, intelligent decision.

The addiction needs feeding and the addicted mind cannot comprehend being freed. He had gone a long way down the path and had become completely self-absorbed, irrational, manipulative and the disease had progressed to the point where the alcohol had caused serious damage to his liver and other organs. Still, alcohol was all he wanted, regardless of the consequences.

Sadly, he had insurance that would cover his alcoholism treatment, but he would not allow it. So many others go untreated because they have no means of payment, but despite his benefit, he went without treatment because of the poor choices he made continually. The staff will not be surprised to see his again, and once again they will do their best to help his and try to do everything that is in his best interest. But the patient gets the last say and it isn’t likely to happen. The most likely thing to happen will be his literally drinking himself to death.

If you’re worried that you or someone close to you is an alcoholic, the fact this is on your mind indicates that it is something worth looking into. There are signs you can look out for that you or someone you know is addicted to alcohol.

Once someone accepts that they have an alcohol problem, they are one step closer to dealing with it. Remember that just one of the following behaviours or symptoms or a one-off event does not necessarily indicate that someone is an alcoholic, but could indicate that there is a problem.

One of the major symptoms of alcoholism is drinking alone and lying about it or covering your tracks so that nobody else finds out. Hiding alcohol is also a classic symptom – if you or someone you know is hiding alcohol at home or at work, it is very possible that alcohol abuse could be happening.

If someone gets angry, upset or aggravated when they can’t have a drink, this isn’t a healthy behaviour and could indicate that they are an alcoholic or developing an addiction to drink.

Alcoholics may regularly ‘black out’ or lose parts of their memory from when they have been drinking.

The following symptoms also indicate an addiction to alcohol:

Craving alcohol

If someone regularly has a strong need or desire to drink alcohol, it’s possible that they have a problem.

Inability to control drinking

If someone can’t stop drinking once they’ve started, it suggests that they have an unhealthy relationship with alcohol. If you set limitations on how much you will drink and then regularly break them, you could have a problem.

Physical dependency on alcohol

Someone who experiences physical withdrawal symptoms such as nausea, sweating and anxiety when they do not drink alcohol is usually an alcoholic. A related symptom is increased tolerance for drink. Alcoholics often need more and more booze in order to feel the effects.

Questions to ask

Ask these questions of yourself or someone you worry may have a problem with drink:

* Do you worry about your drinking?
* Have others expressed concern about how much you drink?
* Have you tried and quickly failed to stop drinking?
* Do you carry on drinking even if it causes problems with your relationships or at work?
* Do you often drink in the day time and/or alone?
* Do you experience shakes, sweats or nausea after a period of not drinking?
* Have you had numerous memory blanks due to drinking?

If you recognise one or more of these symptoms in you or someone you know, it could be time to consider seeking help with alcoholism. Various forms of help are available, including residential rehab clinics, outpatient rehabilitation centres, counselling, detox programmes and more.

Creativity has always been one of the desired qualities of any good artist. Besides that, we all need creativity in our daily life to do all sort of complex tasks. Ever since man has always wanted to achieve more, it comes times when we just want to be more creative than before because of the ever increasing challenges that we face. Some people feel more creative in the presence of loved ones while some take inspiration from given places. Today we want to consider the question “Do drugs and alcohol make us creative” or better still “Do they increase our creativity?”

Is this discussion I think the definition of creativity will guide us much. Simple definitions of creativity are:

* the ability to create
* the ability to bring into existence

However these definitions are not good to work with and study drug and alcohol. So we will define creativity as the ability to organize basic ideas, objects, colors, sounds etc to form something pleasing, useful and original. Creativity in music is the ability to arrange basic sounds, instruments, voices and notes whereas in painting it is the arrangement of colors, lights, shadows and representations. It is possible to see that this holds for all the domains that require creativity. When God created the world, he separated light from darkness, waters above from waters below, oceans and seas from continents and so on. We can now go on to check to what extend can drugs and alcohol enhance our creativity.

When an individual consumes any drug or alcohol, it has a direct influence on our state of consciousness and alters our perception of reality and even time. In such a state in individual lose touch with the real world and sees all sorts of ideas, memories and images crossing his mind. This is the main thing that deceives people. In such as situation, the individual may seem to have ideas but lacks the rational state of mind to implement these ideas due to the effects of drugs on his mind. Drug and alcohol makes users become drowsy or sedated, may hinder an individual’s ability concentrate, may interfere with coordination, and may blow out of proportion the importance of insignificant thoughts or details.

Mindful of all these, there is no real base for saying that drugs and alcohol helps in any way our creativity. God created us in his image. Our ability to create is an inherited characteristic from God and is damaged when we carry out practices like drug and alcohol abuse which makes us hostile to God’s life.

Nelson Kana is a youth Worker in a local youth ministry in Cameroon and has been carrying out researches on drug and alcohol rehab among Youth. He is a strong advocate of rehab my mind changing.

There are some alcohol abuse symptoms that we should all know about and be on the lookout for, both in ourselves and in loved ones. Alcohol use and abuse is increasingly common these days and poses a serious risk if it is not dealt with in a timely manner. Of course, not all alcohol use leads to abuse. Many people drink in moderation and it is not a problem. But we should be aware of some alcohol abuse symptoms so that we can recognize them if we see them in ourselves or those we care about and take action when needed.

Physical Symptoms of Alcohol Abuse

Some physical symptoms of alcohol abuse to watch out for include:

· Developing tolerance – it takes more and more alcohol to get the same effects
· Withdrawal symptoms if you try to stop drinking, like shaking, sweating, nausea, and vomiting
· Things like slurred speech, dizziness, or clumsiness while intoxicated
· Having blackouts while drinking
· Loss of weight
· Stomach problems, either pain and/or an upset stomach
· Redness of the face
· Numbness or tingling in the hands and feet

Mental Symptoms of Alcohol Abuse

Some mental alcohol abuse symptoms to watch out for include:

· Can’t control drinking – “just one” always leads to one more
· Engaging in dangerous behaviors while drinking, like driving drunk
· Avoiding activities that don’t involve alcohol
· Withdrawing from family and friends
· Increased irritability
· Being overly emotional or weepy
· Difficult sleeping or sleeping too much
· Missing work or school frequently

Alcohol Use and Abuse

Of course there is a difference between alcohol use and abuse, but it can be a fine line. In general, if alcohol use is causing problems in a person’s daily life, it may be abuse. In addition to being on the lookout for the alcohol abuse symptoms listed above, just ask yourself if your drinking is causing problems in your life. Is it causing problems in your relationships? Is it making it hard for you to be productive at work or school? Is it causing you to feel physically ill? Are you worried about your drinking? If the answer to any of these questions is yes, then you might have an alcohol abuse problem.

Getting Help for Alcohol Use and Abuse

If you recognize some alcohol abuse symptoms in yourself, seek help. You can attend an AA meeting, or you can find a counselor that deals with substance abuse issues. You might actually want to try both of those things. Group self-help meetings like AA can be very helpful, but some individual counseling will give you the opportunity to explore your alcohol use and abuse a bit further.

If you recognize symptoms of alcohol abuse in someone you care about, encourage them to seek help. You should understand, though, that you can’t make someone else stop drinking and you can’t make them get help. They have to decide to do that on their own. If they are willing to get help, you can help them find a local AA meeting or a counselor to see. You could even attend an AA meeting with them (just make sure it is an “open” meeting first; “closed” meetings are for alcoholics only, so you can’t attend with them unless you are an alcoholic, too).

If you are dealing with a loved one who has an alcohol abuse problem, you might also want to check out Al-Anon. It’s a self-help group for family members and friends of alcoholics. They can help you deal with your own feelings while you deal with your loved one’s problem.
