Firstly, I will openly admit that the toxicity levels of weed are extremely low, and this is probably why no-one has actually died directly from its medical or recreational use. However, there are certain dangers of marijuana addiction, and it is these that I wish to discuss in today’s article.

Many people choose to smoke weed, and so you should be aware that smoking of any kind is unhealthy. In fact, smoking cannabis is estimated to be up to 4 times more harmful than tobacco smoke. If you add to this that most weed users tend to inhale and hold in the smoke for longer, the build up of tar in the lungs is far greater than produced by cigarettes.

If you choose to combine tobacco and marijuana, then this is obviously much worse. Heavy smokers who mix cannabis and tobacco are dramatically increasing their risk of lung disease, and there have been numerous scientific studies that agree that mixing these two substances causes the highest risk of cancer. I would hazard a guess that one of the main problems most people face when they try to stop smoking weed is the probability of getting sucked backed in – or a relapse. How easy is it to just have one quick puff? Surely, it can’t do any harm, can it? Unfortunately, many marijuana smokers have had the habit for years, and therefore being drawn back into weed addiction is extremely hard to ignore.

This is especially true if you have not prepared yourself for the tough journey ahead. So, if you really want to know how to stop smoking weed for good, and if you don’t want to get drawn back into your old marijuana habits, just follow these three simply, but highly effective tips:-

1) Stay as far away as you can from weed – I realize that this is an extremely obvious statement, but it still amazes me how many ex-marijuana smokers fail to follow this simple advice. Giving up weed is not simply about no longer buying it, but also avoiding the places where you know it is easily accessible to you. You should definitely not visit the places you used to smoke it, as it makes perfect sense that if you have nothing to smoke you are more likely to have a far better chance of quitting. Weed, pot, mary jane, grass, mj, skunk, white widow and five fingers are only a few of the many names used for marijuana.

Over the years, people argue with regards to the fact whether marijuana is addictive or not. Many claim that the use of this drug is not addictive at all. Users say that they are simply using the drug as a pastime, or simply as a way to socialize. Despite the claims of many marijuana users that it is not addictive, a majority of the population believe that marijuana is indeed very addictive and destructive. The withdrawal symptoms itself prove that marijuana has addictive components that the body reacts with when suddenly stopped or not taken. Many marijuana users begin by smoking marijuana only to try and experience it once until they realize that they can no longer function and continue with their daily activities without using marijuana.
