Heroin Detox

Mostly all heroin addicts fear withdrawal. I think in the subculture of heroin that the withdrawal thing is blow way out of propitiation for Hollywood movies.

I mean you see a heroin addicts in the movies they are generally a dirty grimy lot and when they show a withdrawal seen it is absolutely terrifying.

However if we want to stop using heroin we must face the facts that heroin detox may be a tad uncomfortable depending on the method you choose; for instance, if you choose to try a heroin detox cold turkey it will without a doubt be uncomfortable to say the least.

You will have to be prepared to face such things as:

1. Nausea and vomiting.

2. Stomach and leg cramps.

3. Loss of sleep.

4. Loss of appetite.

5. Anxiety.

6. Fever and goose bumps.

7. Hot and cold sweats.

I am quite sure the list goes on and on. Do not let this hinder you it can be done without medication.

Many people prefer this method so they do not forget where they came from. I mean how could one ever forget an experience like that?

Now there is another method of heroin detox and this is to detox at home using suboxone. This method is a lot more preferable than the cold turkey method.

If you go this route be advised that it will be expensive. What you will need to do is go to a Dr. that prescribes suboxone and ask him or her to write you a script.

I would also ask them how you should use this medication. With that being said you are good to go.
